LED Lighting is amazing, and we’ve found that it the clever application of a variety of LED products such as LED rope lights and LED strip lights can turn even the saddest looking sight into something magnificent, unique, and completely and entirely magical. But what happens when something is absolutely amazing to begin with?

The Niagra Falls’ recent transformation into a beautifully illuminated spectacle for the Christmas season and beyond, that’s what.

This beautiful landmark – widely regarded as one of the Seven Wonders Of The World, is an incredible waterfall system which is comprised of three distinctive falls- the Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Falls themselves are very varied – the Horseshoe Falls, for example, are 2,600 feet wide, and the American Falls measure in at 1060 feet side. The highest drop the Niagra Falls have are at 173 feet. The highest drop the Niagra Falls have is at a toe-curling 173 feet.

We imagine a drop like that is absolutely vertigo-inducing, so the tenacity of the workers which rigged up this spectacular lighting system should be applauded. Regardless of the ease of which LED fixtures can be installed, with the Niagra Falls pumping 4 million cubic feet or 110,000 cubic metres of water every minute (and this time of year more accurately causing a flow of 6 million cubic feet of water a minute) It couldn’t have been an easy job to install!

This job cost $4m and we certainly feel it’s worth every penny. The falls with the lighting gives a wow factor which is absolutely unreplaceable – and is a great step toward brighter, and more robust colour than the aged halogen lighting system which has been used in years past to illuminate the falls. Plus, it’s better for the environment. It’s estimated that the falls now are 3 to a staggering 14 times brighter than the antiquated halogen lighting which has been uninstalled, and the lighting in itself has shown a commitment to the planet and to the environment which should be celebrated.

It’s estimated that the falls now are 3 to a staggering 14 times brighter than the antiquated halogen lighting which has been uninstalled, and the lighting in itself has fallen from over 120,000 watts of power being consumed to only about 58,000 watts.
